In this episode of Virtually Live, Shannon Rivkin covers Afterpay (APT), Link administration holdings (LNK), the CSL buyback, Platinum asset management (PTM), Pendal Group (PDL), Magellan Financial Group (MFG), Amp (AMP), Amaysim (AYS), Western Areas (WSA) and iCar (ICQ).
In this week’s show
- 0:20 – General market update
- 2:44 – Q1: I would appreciate your views on differences of afterpay shares going forward on australian listing or american listing. do you think there would be much of a price difference?
- 4:19 – Q2: I have made significant returns on recommendations and also going for some of those on watch like the recent LNK. can you comment on the CSL buyback? Can you and also revisit going for the buyback now the max discount is 10%. Still looks a bit marginal to me.
- 7:54 – Q3: sorry my query re diversified financials was unclear. The names I was referring to are PTM, PDL, MFG, AMP & others, that have fallen significantly. Your comments would be valued.
- 12:39 – Q4: According to Amaysim’s (AYS) announcements dated 21/03/21 there was supposed to be a final distribution payment of between 7 and 13 cents (estimated) about October 2021 for shares not acquired by WAM.
I don’t think this has been paid, can you explain if this is still coming? - 13:46 – Q5: Since there have been no further bids for WSA the current offer of $3.36 per share cash seems to be all that investors can expect. Does the recommendation to buy at this level for a low risk investment still stand? As things stand this looks like a guaranteed loss.
- 17:22 – Q6: Why is the price of iCar shares falling rapidly, what is happening in the market?
